'Gaze Upon That Mirror'

Hilfield Retreat 2013

In the summer of 2013, we spent a week at Hilfield Friary on retreat focusing upon the lives of St Clare and Jesus as our inspiration. ‘Gaze Upon That Mirror’ was our theme as we took time out with St Clare for some renewing days of creative stillness. Rachel took some great photographs - follow the link to find out more about our time together and about Hilfield Friary.

Newport Minster

A Creative Quiet Day on the Isle of Wight

From 10am on Saturday July 6th 2013 we will be on the Isle of Wight at Newport Minster leading a creative Arts and Crafts Quiet Day - it would be lovely to see you there. The Hopeweaver Daily Office will frame our day and Jacqui will offer a series of optional short reflections based on the days chosen Bible texts. There will be plenty of space for silence, reflection, and opportunities to explore a range of creative activities including weaving without a loom, painting, drawing, journalling, collage and work in 3D.

The Gathering

The Annual Gathering of the Hopeweavers Community

The gathering was an opportunity to bring together the wider Hopeweavers community - participants of Quiet Days, Arising, Thornhill Art Group and other groups and events. As a community, we feel it is important to be transparent about the ways in which donations and money are used. Information about how our finances are conducted was made available, along with a report on the journey so far. There was a full and varied exhibition of work by the Arising group of prophetic artists, alongside space for the planting and developing of new ideas, and for quiet reflection.

Diocesan Spirituality Day

'Celebrating Holiness' in Romsey Abbey

Hopeweavers were pleased to be part of the Diocesan Spirituality Day held during November 2012 in Romsey Abbey. Some photographs of 'Celebrating Holiness' and the wonderful little weavings that were produced to form part of the Altar Frontal in the Abbey can be found here.
