Team Away Days, Groups and Training

We are able to offer space for you and your team or group to come away for a day together. We offer a location on the outskirts of Southampton which is usually peaceful and inspiring.

Alternatively, we can visit you in your own setting or support you to develop your own away day elsewhere.

Creative opportunities, simple refreshments and input designed to suit your needs are held prayerfully within our rich Christian traditions. We can arrange for you to experience a Quiet Day together, or to work alongside you on themes and issues facing your group at this time.

Our days are very reasonably priced - we usually suggest donations of about £20 a head depending on your circumstances.

During 2011 we welcomed a Prayer Ministry team from a local church, a Messy Church Team and a group of young mothers with whom we have created a quiet 'away day'. Our link with Portsmouth Diocese continues through the Foundation Course in Christian Spirituality, INSPIRE, and some participants were here for a Quiet Day in the Autumn. We look forward to offering more input as part of this 'inspiring' course on various days during 2012!

In previous years it has been good to share this space with ministry teams from a variety of denominations and regional and local networks for various groups. These have included the Northumbria Community, the Retreat Association, Deanery teams from Winchester Diocese, two Diaconate teams from local Baptist Churches, and several women's groups both here and in their own settings. We are very happy to offer space to a variety of groups from organisations with no particular faith tradition which has included TWIC's - Training for Work in Communities - from Southampton. During 2012 we look forward to working alongside Parish and Ministry teams from within Winchester Diocese both here and in other settings.
